Welcome Dwaine Stroud & Family To Lindsay Lane

On Sunday, June 29 the church overwhelmingly voted to hire Dwaine Stroud as our new Minister of Music. Sunday was also the first time that Dwaine had been to our church and lead worship. There was truly an excitement in the service and our people really responded to his leadership during the service. I think he is really going to be a good match for LLBC. A big thank you goes out to the music search committee for all of their time energy and prayer during this process.

Dwaine was saved at the age of 11 and felt called to the ministry three years later. He is a licensed and ordained minister with a Bachelors degree in music from East Texas University and a Masters degree
from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been in full time music ministry since 1990. Dwaine and his wife Connie have been married 17 years and have three sons. Dwaine and his family will be leaving Northside Baptist Church in West Columbia, South Carolina to join us.

Last I saw them was Monday morning as they were on their way out the door to go look for a home to purchase. So please pray for this family in this area. Dwaine has agreed to do a video interview with me so you all can get to know him a little better, so be on the lookout for that in the near future.

As it stands now his start date will be August 1 and he will start leading worship on Wednesday, August 6.

Please continue to pray that God will sell our house and show us the house he already has in mind for us in Athens. Also pray for the boy’s transition as we will be moving the last week of July in order to get them in school etc.

Sunday was amazing for me. The church is truly a worshiping church. It is apparent to me, and was very apparent on Sunday morning, that Lindsay Lane has a history of genuine and exciting worship. Praise the Lord! LLBC is a worshiping church!
